Gain acceptance by peers

It hurts to be isolated
Reviled for having a different opinion
Ridiculed for thinking differently

But I have to live with myself
Wake up with my dignity
Remain true to what I think

So I have to do the right thing
Say what I think is true
Speak out when is necessary

They can have their groupthink
Collect their likes
Enjoy their retweets

What I do makes me happy
Keeps my dignity intact
Allows me to be proud
